The Best Weekend of the Year

Youth Convention is a mountain-top, faith building experience for students 6th grade-12th grade.

Have you ever walked along one of the Great Lakes and picked up cool-looking rocks? After walking for a bit, you'd probably have a couple of rocks in your pocket, serving as reminders of your time at the lake.

As students get older, especially as they enter college / career years, sometimes faith in Jesus Christ can waiver. Just like having a rock in a pocket as a reminder, it helps to have a couple of moments in the lives of students where they can look back and without a shadow of a doubt say, "Because I experienced the love of Jesus Christ in THAT moment, I know He is real."

Youth Convention can be one of the rocks in a student's pocket.

What is Youth Convention?

Youth Convention is a weekend event where 2000+ students gather from around the state to worship Jesus with professional music artists and state-of-the-art technology, experience TedTalk caliber messages straight from the Bible, pack pallets for those in need with CityServe, and have fun late-night games on Friday night (Laser tag, trampoline park, mini golf, Ninja Warrior Course).

It's a weekend filled with hope, purpose, fun, and changed lives.

Breakout Sessions

1. "Walk Your Talk": Strategies For Living And Sharing The Gospel As A Student

Sometimes it's scary to share Jesus with others. What do you say? Where do you start? What if you don't know everything? This session is designed to help students feel more confident in answering Jesus' call to make disciples. Students will leave with practical tools and strategies for being missionaries in their homes, schools, and wherever Jesus leads them.

2. "Dear Jesus, I'm so stressed out!": Healthy Approaches To Emotional Triggers

You can love Jesus and feel stressed. However, God has given us resources for handling the pressure-filled, anxiety-producing moments of our lives. This session will help students learn to identify their stressors and practice healthy ways of dealing with them.

3. "Finding Bae God's Way": Advice On Dating As A Christian

You are the apple of God's eye, and He cares about who you're giving your heart, time, and text messages to. This session will walk students through critical questions they should ask and answer before, and while dating. Students will leave this workshop with a better understanding of themselves, their relationship goals, and their areas of personal growth that will influence their dating choices.

4. "24/7": Living A Holy Spirit Empowered Life

The Holy Spirit was promised by God for every Christ follower. This session is designed to help students understand who the Holy Spirit is, why He matters, how He speaks, and how He can be experienced everyday!

5. YP/Leaders session only with Noah Herrin
